It is the end of Chloe’s second summer selling ice cream at this same idyllic beach in the mountains, and that breathtakingly handsome guy at the boat rental stand, Cameron, still hasn't asked her out. All summer, Chloe has watched helplessly as every single girl in a skimpy bikini has hit on him. How can she compete with them?

Meanwhile, Cameron has been in knots. He has been fortunate to have a great summer job in between college semesters at his favorite place in the world: the lake where he grew up, in the mountains he loves. But his luck has run out as the woman who has his heart trapped like a fish in a net is the one in the ice cream truck and she will leave soon.

Now, in the fading days of August, their time is running out. Will some other tanned vacationer beat Chloe to the guy at the boat rental stand? Can Cameron dig deep enough to risk revealing his feelings for Chloe, or are they both doomed to end another summer alone?
